Travel Benefits

Employees are eligible for flight benefits on United or American Airlines to destinations around the world. In addition, Mesa has agreements with many other airlines to allow for travel at a significantly reduced rate. Many of these benefits apply to spouses, eligible dependent children and parents of employees. Employees also benefit from additional travel discounts with various hotels, cruise lines and car rental companies.

401K Plan

Mesa Airlines offers all employees an option for saving for their future through a 401 K retirement plan. Employees can start contributing to their 401K on day one of their employment. Mesa will make a matching contribution once the employee reaches their one-year anniversary date.

Health and Dental Insurance

The health of our employees and their families is important to us. Medical and dental coverage is available through UMR (United Medical Resources) to all employees the first of the month after 60 days of employment. 

Vision Insurance

Vision insurance is offered to all employees through the VSP (Vision Service Plan) Network. Employees will become eligible on the first of the month after 60 days of employment.  Vision insurance is independent of an employee's participation in our health and dental plan.

Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD)

Long Term Disability is provided for all active employees. Coverage is currently 40% of the employee's monthly earnings up to a maximum of $1,500. Employees have the option to purchase upgrade to their plan to 50% coverage.

Life Insurance

Basic life insurance in the amount of $10,000 is provided to all employees at NO COST to the employee.  Employees can purchase additional term life insurance up to 5 times their annual salary to a maximum of $300,000.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Mesa Airlines offers employees participation in flexible spending accounts to help cover the high costs associated with dependent care and/or health care. Employees are able to put aside pre-tax dollars into their account through convenient payroll deductions up to $2,500 for medical expenses and $5,000 for dependent child care services per calendar year.
