Sustainability
Mesa is committed to operating sustainably and responsibly. We strive to reduce the environmental impacts associated with our operations and always look for ways to diminish our footprint in the air, on the ground and at our facilities.
Going Green
Emissions Reduction.
We’re investing in environmentally responsible, low-carbon sustainable aviation with companies like Archer Aviation and Heart Aerospace- our way of striving to operate a more sustainable airline. This investment is not only good for the environment, but also creates clean energy jobs in the communities we serve.
Carbon Offsets.
Our partners at United participate in carbon offset programs. With the ultimate goal of reducing greenhouse gases and providing social and economic benefits to communities, they purchase carbon offsets on behalf of customers so all of their corporate air travel with us is 100% carbon neutral.
Environmental Commitment
Archer Aviation.
In February 2021, we announced we invested in Archer Aviation and their eVTOL aircraft to partake in the important challenge of decarbonizing air travel.
Recycling Program.
Through the city of Phoenix, we take part in a corporate recycling program. We continue to evaluate new ways to responsibly manage and reduce the waste generated in our facilities.
Heart Aerospace.
In July of 2021, we announced we invested in Heart Aerospace and their electric aircraft, revolutionizing air service to small markets as the first network air carrier to help decarbonize air travel with electric aircraft.
Customer Commitment
Running an airline is a serious business. Safety and reliability are our top priorities, but to provide the safest and most reliable service, we all have to be on the same page. Our community values help and guide us in our work each day.
COVID-19 Updates
The safety and well-being of our customers and team members remains our highest priority. Mesa is in contact with U.S. and international authorities, as well as public health officials, and we continue to coordinate with them on all required health- and safety-related measures regarding coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please note, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published an order, to implement Executive Orders from the White House, intended to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in transportation. While the order doesn’t make significant changes to current airport and airline requirements for wearing masks while in transit, it does, along with new TSA requirements, make wearing a mask a federal requirement which airports and airlines must enforce.
We wanted to make you aware of this change as the federal government requires airports and airlines to ensure passengers, airline employees, contractors and others who work at the airport or utilize its services, are wearing face masks at all times while at the airport, while boarding or deplaning and at all times while onboard an aircraft. Additionally, airports and airlines are now required to report when a passenger refuses to comply with this requirement and deny them boarding.
